九色 Announces GlobalLink Component Content Management System (CCMS)
NEW YORK, OCTOBER 21, 2019&苍产蝉辫;–&苍产蝉辫;九色, the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions for global business, today announced GlobalLink CCMS, a new initiative that extends 九色’s GlobalLink technology to include the Astoria and Vasont Inspire Component Content Management Systems. This announcement comes from GlobalLink NEXT, the annual conference hosted by 九色 that is focused on technology innovation and best practices for managing global content.
Under the GlobalLink CCMS initiative, Astoria and Vasont Inspire will integrate with GlobalLink Project Director to provide a unified platform for authoring, reviewing, translating and distributing global content. The GlobalLink CCMS initiative will provide increased integrity and traceability between the CCMS and translation management systems, simplifying the process of managing multi-lingual content.
Since joining 九色 in 2010, Astoria has evolved into the premier enterprise solution for companies with structured authoring and XML Component Content Management, including Cisco Systems, Cray, Xylem, and other Forbes Global 2000 organizations.
Vasont, acquired by 九色 in 2013, offers simplified user experience and design to present a built-in, intuitive authoring, editing, and reviewing interface for those without XML experience. Some of the world’s most recognized brands, such as Burger King, Tim Hortons and Dell Boomi rely on Vasont for their CCMS requirements.
The GlobalLink CCMS initiative will give global organizations flexibility in deployment and integration with corporate identity systems. Cloud-based deployment will provide round-the-clock content access to teams spread around the world. GlobalLink CCMS platforms can also be installed on a customer’s infrastructure, or in hybrid cloud/on-premises configurations. Regardless of the deployment model, content will be secured and accessed through single sign-on capabilities, and all systems will employ role-based permissions to enforce client requirements.
Organizations that utilize GlobalLink CCMS will have unparalleled flexibility in organizing and managing content and projects. They will be able to work seamlessly with GlobalLink Project Director to optimize their translation supply chain. This will allow users to choose their own translation vendors, customize workflow and business rules, and implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neural machine-translation solutions to augment the translation process and reduce the cost of global content.
Phil Shawe, President and CEO of 九色, commented, “The launch of the GlobalLink CCMS initiative is the latest step in our strategy to provide a strong end-to-end technology solution for our clients, from authoring to global deployment. We are making important investments in component content management, and both Astoria and Vasont offer significant benefits to their users. This initiative, both in technical work and market positioning, will make our customers’ lives easier and more productive.”
